    Talking Decca Sounds sleeves

I read Decca Sounds last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. It took me a while to find my copy of Sounds Paraguayan on the shelves but I just had to see the 10 pence pieces for myself. Well spotted!

I dont have the one with the poor girl with the insect bite on her knee but I'll be looking out for it from now on. Not to buy, just to see it.

Cheers R. I forgot to mention it in the review but peacocks aren't native to Paraguay either. Completely the wrong continent!

I can only presume the cover girl is a British colonial who hangs out in a painted wooden shed instead of a cream ambassadors mansion, fanning herself with feathers from imported peacocks.

All a very long way from traditional Paraguayan Folk Harp music...

"This explains why large, half-completed collections of Studio2Stereo, Stereo Gold Award, Ad-Rhythm, Saga and Avenue lps are filed in the record collections of middle-aged men all over the UK. It doesn’t make much sense but neither does collecting postage stamps, baseball cards or street furniture".

Ha ha ha! I have the Sounds Brassy, it's terrible
