Round of applause required for FK for the contents of their limited edition Man Chest Hair boxed set. Double lp, two singles, a T-shirt, sticker and a bottle of perfume....

Great stuff! (http://www.finderskeepersrecords.com/discog_fkr064llp.html):D

Lovely old job.

I have a couple of unreleased prog/sike acetates by Manc groups that would've fitted in nicely with that little lot.

I was a little bit pissed off that having already bought the two 45s there was no way to buy the box set without the (already purchased) 45s

But it's a nice/ridiculous item none the less.

The 45s are sold out at source so you can probably flip 'em if you want the box set.

As I have the 2 45s I'll take the shitmuncher grade option and just buy the double album.

Nice review of this over at The Quietus. (http://thequietus.com/articles/10973-finders-keepers-man-chest-hair-review)

"In which the dudes behind the perma-feted Mancunian reissues label Finders Keepers pause for thought, take stock of their continentally sprawling catalogue, think "and yet… we've never been to us," and start drilling for sweet crude in their home city.

What, if anything, does it say about the FK collector mentality that they compiled decades-old rarities from Wales (twice - they had a third one planned as well, at some point at least), Hungary, Pakistan (twice), Persia, Spain, Germany, Thailand, India and Ireland before excavating their own back yard?"

I wouldn't know about the FK collector mentality specifically but I would suggest it's easier to discover the great, interesting and bizarre in more exotic climes than the picked-to-bare-bones British Isles. I would however guess that the FK crew hold this comp closer to their hearts over most of their back catalogue. Home is where the heart is.

I met Frank Renshaw/Young of JC Heavy/Toggery 5/ various other Manc bands a few years ago at his bar in Fuerteventura. Very nice bloke.
