I really like this kid and only heard Trouble Town yesterday. I like it so much I just paid waaaay over the odds ( a £25 BIN) for the 45 which was his first and came out in March.

He's already been Zane'd, been on Jools Holland and is selling out shows here, there and everywhere.

Despite the song sounding very Dylanesque he's only ever heard one Dylan lp. He sounds refreshing in interviews too (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/may/27/jake-bugg-nottingham-interview). His council estate roots ( see Palma Violets) are geniunely not a buying point for me, I just really like the song.

Off to see if I like anything else the talented little f'ker has done. Will post YouTube later.

Just watched the video on the link and really liked it. Wherever he comes from, that's a great sound, hats off to whoever was letting rip on the guitar too.

Wrong postcode I suspect. :p Oh and most aspiring young journalists these days have to be unpaid 'interns' while they earn their spurs which makes it an expensive career to get a start in. I doubt the NME has any aspiring young journalists from council estates in Nottingham.

Love this:

I kind of justified it in my head by thinking I would have paid five or six quid for it in March anyway so it was only £20 too much. :o

Also, just noticed this morning that the seller I bought from, Amulet Records, has just bumped the BIN price for remaining Mint! Unplayed! copies to £29.99 so I'm also justifying it by saying I saved a fiver. :p

All spent up for the month or I'd pick up a few of his others. Loved the one treeboy posted too.
