Casting around looking for good new (ish) Psychedelic / influenced bands I found this article in the Guardian. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/sep/27/tune-psych-the-new-black-psychedelia)

Any recommendations for new (ish) psychedelic bands to check out, black or otherwise, really appreciated. Anything from the last two or three years would be good.

I like the feel of these...very laid back harmony stuff but would like to hear some heavier stuff too :

I can recommend some recent stuff but it all depends on how far you stretch the definition of psych? I'm not hearing that Oddience as psych at all. This is livelier...

See, now I found that Oddience track really interesting. Not overtly psychedelic in terms of referencing past styles of psychedelic music, but definitely music with pictures. I found the video distracting, listen to it without watching the video. Plenty going on in there to create your own personalised version.
This is fairly recent, 2011

I could end up going off on one with this thread!

Took a couple of friends to see Wooden Shjips at The Borderline a couple of years back. One of them has tinitus as a result! Loud as in scarey.

Incidentally, if anyone remembers the UK psych band Flyte Reaction, I did the lp covers for their first and second albums on Woronzow. Stop blowing my own trumpet now:rolleyes:

Just checked these out.....very cool! Keep blowing. :D Did you design anything else? (I'll post them up when I can get to a proper computer...)

I was best friends with Mick Crosley (Flyte Reaction head honcho) at the time, and I think really he let me do it to fulfill a dream of mine. Nothing else though, just stuff for local bands gigs many years ago.

Still very cool. Nice to have fragments of your artistry floating around in cyberspace. Thanks for the music posts /recommendations! Will check them out at the weekend.

Presently piecing together the jigsaw that is the VG+ Swap mix and I like to put fresh sounds (to my ears) on my own comps to keep them interesting to my own ears.
