Slant Azymuth just dropped onto my desk as I read your post! Can't wait to get it home. Love the Demdike side of the split 12, but am a bit underwhelmed by the Hype Williams offering tbh...

Love that! It's been been ages since I listened to some Disco.

My last proper Ebay purchase was a disaster. I found a clip somewhere on the net of Vic Flick and The Golden Orchestra doing 'I've Got Two Eyes'
which I've loved since hearing it on the VG+ Kids Comp (Jamie's contribution I think?). The picture on the clip was of Vic Flicks and the Golden Orchestra's 'Sesame Street' lp so i assumed it was on it.

Went on Ebay and got one for BIN at $15, was delighted. Totally different lp. I mean, fun and all that; Pete Moore arrangements, Vic Flick and the G. O etc etc
but totally different lp.

And to cap it off a few days later I missed picking up a Mint copy of that 'Speedball Experience' Italian library groove record from 97. It was at £50 on Discogs; I dithered and *puff*... it was gone..... :( I'll get the goddam thing sooner or later but it's getting harder to find and creeping up I think?

The last things I bought were the two Rediffusion LP's I posted on VG+. So obscure and under the radar that there isn't any youtube clips!! (or is that because they're naff??)

From what I can make out, there are at least 3 different versions by the Leaves. Initially, it was called Hey Joe Where You Gonna Go. Version 1 is the promo of Mira 207, released by mistake apparently. 2nd version is the black label stock copy of Mira 207, with 12 string jangle added. Both October '65 release.3rd version has a tighter arrangement, fuzz guitar, and mid section break. This release had the title shortened to Hey Joe, Mira 222 March '66.This is the version that made the US top 40.

Nice! Like a slightly folkier version of The Association who I love. I can hear harmony songs endlessly. Lot of love here also for stuff like the Kings Singers who I think are still massively under-rated.

These are some intenet finds from the last couple of weeks. Paid properly for P.S 186 after hearing the swoonsome harmonies of Nadneda on Ian's VG+ Swap CD. It's the best track on it but I don't care! It's soooo good, but no YouTube for it yet unfortunately. I must contact Col about getting up to speed with posting Youtube videos....I could, and should post Nadneda.

It is Shake on the otherside, but I've never heard it. I knew Green Onions, and had missed out on a couple of copies in the past. Luckily I was the only bidder, and ended up paying nearly double the asking price for the postage from US. Probably still worked out cheaper than some of the other copies I've seen, but that postage hike is sticking in my throat already. People over on G45 are raging about the rise. They see the writing on the wall as far as European buyers go. If you are buying high end stuff I don't suppose it matters, but for the likes of me, it is a major issue.
However, love the Eyes Of Blue. Absolute sucker for that heavy Hammond sound.Phil Ryan later of Man fame I believe. That didn't get a UK release I don't think.

No I'll go and have a look mate.

as for London time just ran away from me , made it to Spitalfields but not til mid afternoon and i think a few dealers had packed up. Saw a few nice bits but all at the right money which if it were a fair over here I'd have paid but as it was day one of our jaunt couldn't really do it. Planned a last day blast around Berwick Street but the kids were freezing and tired so never got there - the joys of parental responsibility. Think I'll plan a trip back later in year on my own and hit a few places up

Good move. Having said that, everything on that thread that I've followed up has been really good, so you can't go wrong really. I've picked up a couple of lps as a result .
