Ooh blimey. First thumbs down on the board. And rightfully so.
We are very aware of how sad they are and are already searching around.
There was a fascinating post on Waxidermy about a month ago when there was a lot of message board self-examination going on. In a thread called something like 'Why is everyone so salty?' Patrick Amory drew attention to the difference between their smileys, roll-eyes, grins (etc) emoticons and those of other boards.
He suggested that just tiny nuances between the faces, one smile looking far more sarcastic than another etc...was one possible reason for people mis-representing the words and emotions of others.
Well I was fascinated anyway.....
Rest assured.
We're working on it and it's Col's fault. :)
