had the Gregory Porter CD for a few weeks now and its hitting all the right spots in the Millar house. his voice is brillinat imho and i dont really care that some people are already dissing him as packaged and too smooth and over hyped. thought id better fire up a music post after the dog thing yesterday and share some music ;)

understand the website here is coming from crate diggers and vinyl sort of stuff but can i ask nicely if theres room for some jazz and soul or better still new soul rather than the usual.

That's a lovely song. I'd put that more in a bracket with the likes of Norah Jones and Jamie Callum. Very easy on the ear.

At the intro to that I thought:

...and then he started singing and phrasing like Tony Bennett! Good stuff. Just checked him out this afternoon. Some pedigree he's got going on. I'm stunned he hasn't been persuaded to put an lp out before now.

We'd LOVE to specifically have some soul and jazz on the front end...are you offering???

PM'd!
