A couple of weeks ago I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon wading through piles of dusty old 78s.
Found some fantastic artwork on the labels and sleeves and I spent last week putting them together into an
article for the forumusic front end.

It set me searching for more and I found this great 78rpm site. (http://78rpmrecord.com/labelview.cfm) Well worth spending some time scrolling through the labels they have uploaded there. Pleased to say I photographed some they don't have so once the article is up here I'll stick them on the 78rpm site.

Here are a few from the 78rpm site I liked the look of:

B-B-Bumped for Jon T. I uploaded a few more images to put here too...must've forgotten to post them, will do it at the weekend.

And must contact that 78 site. They can steal any of our 78 images they like. They're the 78CAT kings.

I was admiring a pile of 78's and their company sleeves only last week, I can now resist the temptation to buy them.

That "Let's have fun" label is pretty cool.

Tantalizing to know what the damn thing sounds like.

I'm actually on the hunt right now for a cheap second-hand old stereo player that can play 78s. I suspect that just like digging through any other genre it'll be a bit of a trawl to find the good stuff. I keep passing on piles of them that cost hardly anything and it's starting to bug me!
