I have a new non-music, non-horror, non-smut blog. I'm not really sure what it's about yet, but some of you may find it of interest.

Nice one P.

Christ-on-a-bike that Ernie Wise statue is genu-wine-ly bloody awful!

Good work on the film-making. If that's your first playing around I'm looking forward to seeing what else you could come up with. W
What software / computer did you do that with? Is it easy to master?

( and could you come up with something 50s-looking involving a pretty girl, a cheating boyfriend, a bridge and a gun called Elsie?......)

I studied film making at Uni. Haven't made a film for a while, although I did do a couple of re-edits for Eric-Adams. I use Windows Movie Maker, really basic, but all you need if you're just sticking footage together and have lots of patience.

You intrigue me with your synopsis...

The flat voice of the voiceover on that man failure film takes me back to those strange public information film where kids get killed near power cables and ponds. I remember the pond one had a frightening monk in it that vanished at the end. Used to frighten the he'll out of me when I was a kid.

I'm totally bemused by that latest film you've posted from the 'morbid geniuses' at the National Coal Board....
I get the story, but why did they make it? Who was it for? What is it advising about? Brilliant but baffling.

I think the message is simply 'hey, miners, don't get killed'. Mining had an enormous cost in terms of lives and serious injury, and the NCB tried to do their bit to stop that. My wife's uncle lost three fingers and two inches off one leg in a particularly unpleasant industrial accident, and says that he remembers that film vividly - but it didn't stop him nearly dying!
